The Phantom Mask

Description: From John

On Halloween night, 2003, in the Psychiatric Unit of the county hospital we, the psychiatric staff, experienced something very bizarre. We were all dressed in our costumes, taking pictures in the nurse's station with a digital camera, having lots of fun. After taking the pictures, we viewed the them. In one of the pictures there was an unexplained subject. The room we took the picture in, there are no entrances, except from the view of the photographer, whom we were facing as we were being photographed. The unexplained subject appears to be a mask, but it was not. Naturally, we were all baffled. Members of the staff began accusing one another, searching everyone's bags for the mask and interrogating each other. We realized that it was not a practical joke of any kind when we noticed that the "thing" appears translucent. You can see the paper posted on a cork board behind it through its head.
