Although at the time there was nothing weird at all about this picture, except that it wasn't a very good one, lightwise, it wasn't until long after Sept 11th, 2001 that it dawned on us that there was something spooky about this. This photo shows my girlfriend Renate on the boat to the Statue of Liberty during our visit to NYC in early 2001. I believe the exact date of this was the morning of March 7, 2001. In the background you can see the faint Twin Towers. It was a beautiful day, and the skies were clear except for a small cloud above southern Manhattan - and it wasn't until a long time after the towers' destruction that we revisited these pics and noticed that this cloud eerily resembles the smoke clouds immediately after the Sept 11 impact. I have several more pictures from that visit which have the WTC in the background and on all pics, and the towers are strangely faint.
